When your business is all done online, sometimes it seems like you can’t hardly progress when you experience an Internet outage, but if you think about it, there’s plenty of work left to do. Here are five areas you can work on.
Write!
I often hear people say, they don’t have trouble coming up with blog ideas, they just don’t have the time to write it. No time better than when the Internet (or power) is out. Nobody says you have to write on your blog.
Blog posts aren’t the only thing you could write. Emails, autoresponders, re-print articles, articles for affiliates and tweets can all be done offline. If you need to research a point, put a note there and work on the other points. Come back to them later when you do have access.
Plan
Have a new project in view or a new goal to hit? Now’s a good time to work out all the details of your project and make a plan to work it. Identify who can help you, and who you can work with.
Brain Dump
Maybe you aren’t the most organized and are rather overwhelmed with the day to day, simply going through the motions. Without the distraction of the Internet, brain dumping is the perfect activity for you while you’re offline.
Read
I don’t know about you, but for me, reading non-fiction, business related books opens up a flood gate of ideas for content. It also helps improve yourself as an entrepreneur.
Make Videos
We all know content is the driving force for a lot of business online. If you still have power, this is a good time to make videos such as promo trailers or a quick product review that can be done using PowerPoint.
As you see, there are plenty of things you can do to stay productive when you’re offline. Don’t let the lack of Internet be an excuse to stop work. As a matter of fact, you might want to unplug once in a while so you can be free from its distractions. You’ll be surprised, you could achieve a lot more without it.
