USPS Helps You Recycle
Did you know that you can pick up free pre-paid envelopes to send your empty ink cartridges, cell phones, PDA’s, digital cameras and other small equipment at your local post office?
Yup. USPS has been working with companies like Dell, HP, Sprint and Sylvannia so soon you can recycle those CFC bulbs too. Check at your post office. From my understanding this is currently at select post offices only.

Thanks for the tip Lynette! I usually bring my ink cartridges to Staples for $3/piece, but I have several cell phones sitting around and didn’t know what to do with them! Time for a trip to the post office!
Hey Stephanie, I have forgotten all about Staples and their $3 cartridge thing. I don’t have a Staples in town and as per my last post about Laser printers, rarely have any ink cartridges to recycle. Oki who manufactures my color laser printer also has an in-house recycling program. When I buy a new cartridge, it comes with a label to send it back to them via UPS at no cost to me.
