Well duh! Can’t believe I wasn’t aware of this for such a long time. Reason being, I was using OO2 line and none of the updates offered me a version 3. But that’s not all, all my searches looking this up on OO site and forums have yielded no solution or that it isn’t supported.

This is my wishlist for OO. That ‘check updates’ include the latest branches as well not just the versions inline with current version used. If you don’t use OpenOffice and still want to open/convert these files, check out my previous post for options.
