Who’s Spying On Your Business Deals

A friend of mine sent me a video recently which warned of cell phone tapping by just about anyone. The software is very easy to get online and it’s apparently easy to do. Watch the video to find out how your business conversations can be hijacked.

From what I understand here’s how you can protect yourself:

  • Don’t leave the phone unattended
  • Take your batteries out when not used
  • If you have a cell phone, watch those apps that you’re installing just like you’d be careful what you install on your computer.

Thanks for bringing this to light, Lynette.

As with receiving online spam mail and postal junk mail, everyone’s an open target no matter what controls you put into place. It’s a fact of life, so a small dose of paranoia to protect yourself is healthy.

I’ve been mindful of the GPS we have all been toting around for big brother, but I hadn’t considered this technology yet. Thanks for letting us know – you can never be too careful. Our kids should be aware of this danger as well……. 🙁

Scary,? Yes. Surprising? No. I’ve been waiting for this one to turn up. Thanks Lynette, we all need to take notice on this one.

@Shirley: I don’t think we can avoid a lot of things these days I mean everybody is literally a walking camera / recorder with their cell phones so we’ll just have to control whatever we can.

@Sherrie: I thought about the teens too. It will be brutal if their friends (or enemies) install stuff like that on their phones and kids can be so vicious.

@Yeah, I wouldn’t say I am surprised. I am aware this stuff is going around but it’s the extent of intrusion i.e. don’t need to have the phone turned on – that is rather disconcerting.
