Where To Find Music You Can Use For Free

MusicWhile working on a short video the other day, I needed to come up with some background music quickly. This was a one time, 1minute +  video for a site that I consider ‘hobby’ so I didn’t exactly feel like paying $8 for the music. Off I went to look for free music.

By the way, if you’re ever in this situation, here are two keyword searches you could use.

  • “podsafe music”
  • “open music”

Since then, I’ve seen some of my Twitter friends asking for places to find free music and have decided to list some sites I found. Please take time to read the terms. Not every single piece of music in this list is free for commercial use although most are and sometimes the artists are simply asking for a small credit or link back. Not too much to ask.
