What Can I Use To Manage Affiliate Programs?

There are tons of software and scripts available to help affiliate managers manage their affiliate programs but strangely very few that help the affiliate manage the affiliate programs that they are in. I personally use a password keeper software that also syncs to my PDA so I’ll always have my affiliate links with me (talk about paranoid!). It has really worked out nicely but naturally, it does not give you the ability to track and analyze how well you are doing. For this, the handy dandy spreadsheet is my buddy.

If you’re looking for something else though, thankfully there are a few software for you. One is Affiliate Organizer and the other is Personal Affiliate Manager.

Affiliate Organizer costs $67 but it’s a very nicely done piece of software. In fact it not only manages your affiliate programs, hosting accounts, any kind of login, can send you email reminders for tasks you need to do so it’s somewhat of a scheduler too. The only thing I can’t tell is if it can track your affiliate progress which to me is important.

Personal Affiliate Manager is freeware, it doesn’t look as polished as Affiliate Organizer and doesn’t do as much as Affiliate Organizer (AO) but one nice thing it does which I cannot confirm with AO is it actually allows you to keep track when a check was received and for how much. It’s still not as good as graphical progress reports but hey that’s better than nothing. You can actually ‘modify’ that by recording each time you get a sale instead of when you get paid.

If you know of any other software, do share – comments are open.
