Ways To Setup An Affiliate Program Inexpensively

PayPalThis week, I received a question from a friend who has a client wanting to know if there are any free/inexpensive ways to set up an affiliate program. The client is using PayPal and felt she didn’t want to invest in a shopping cart because she only has one product that is only open for orders once every three months. While I personally think the client should re-consider that thought, here’s what I suggested.

The only stand alone affiliate script I’ve had extensive experience with is iDevAffiliate that goes for $99. If that’s still too high my next suggestion is to check out the programs here. In the past, I’ve also worked briefly with Post Affiliate. Then, there was no Pro version, only free, but they longer offer that. Still, that worked alright and something worth looking into.

CartAnother option she may want to consider is E-Junkie. Yes it is a shopping cart, which I think is worth it considering since it starts at only $5 a month and you won’t have to worry about the technical aspects of setting up and maintaining scripts. That alone is worth much more than $5.
