Video, Video, Video – Time Is NOW

Since the early part of 2005, I’ve been predicting video is key. 2005 has proven to be an interesting start. You see videos on Cnet, About.com and many other sites. This is only be the tip of the iceberg my friends. About 2 weeks ago, Cisco (a leader in networking equipment) reported they will acquire Scientific-Atlanta, who makes set-top boxes and video transmission technology for the cable industry. In 2003, Cisco bought Linksys – a brand name when it comes to home networking. Do you know what this means? Ok let’s put it this way. You have Home networking = Internet, plus set top boxes that connect Internet to TV.

Hmm… Internet on TV? Yeah but we’re not talking about no cheesy stuff like MSN TV people. According to an article on CNet

Indeed, evidence of the market transition is abundant. In the United States, two of the biggest phone companies, Verizon Communications and SBC Communications, have already spent billions of dollars to build new networks that can handle the delivery of TV service. And hundreds of phone companies around the world are also planning to use IP to deliver TV service to their customers.

Ok so that’s just one part what about other things going for video. Google Video search, Yahoo Media search, iPod Video, Portable Video players, Video on cell phones. I have no idea how the nitty gritty is going to work at this point but it seems to me, I’d be creating more video content for sure.

But… what if you don’t know how to create video content or even how? Don’t worry. Here’s a free video creation mini course.
