Two Ways To Use Screencasts and Videos For Your Business or Website
If you run a forum or an online portal where people gather, use screencasts to show people how to register for access, how to maintain their profile, how to upload pictures, how to post to the forum or how to manage subsriptions. This saves you an awful lot of time from answering emails and holding people’s hands. Plus, once people see it, they get it and they can watch it over and over, even follow you every step of the way. Bottom line – saves your time.
After sale. Use screen casts as an after sales landing page. If your item needs to be shipped, you could show people how to use your product – remember, you can add photos, not everything has to be on computer. Thank people for their purchase and help them understand your product, creative uses for it or even share what other people have done with it. I find this helps create a personal touch and leave that ‘good feeling’ especially since the product is not something they download instantly. It also reduces after purchase support – especially if you anticipate the questions they normally ask and address them here.
