I don’t have to tell you why you need stuff like that. If you’re reading this, you probably understand the importance of putting together at the very least a Terms of Use or Privacy Policy on your site or blog.
The way the Internet is heading – more social, more sharing, more opinionated all around – the harder it is to become totally protected. But my personal policy has been – Some protection is better than none.
So where do you get these legal text or forms for your website and blog?
Obviously, it depends where in the world you are running your business from. I would imagine you’d use something that is in accordance with your local laws. But I am not an attorney and don’t claim to be one so hey, check with a real attorney.
Here in the US, I can share some common places to find these pre-written forms. Some places you can check out are:
- USLegalForms.com
- Nolo
- If you’re outsourcing, try ContractEdge.
I personally have purchased a copy of AutoWebLaw – mostly because it was a product created for Internet Marketers. It has a decent library of forms, from Affiliate agreements to Sales agreements, Independent contractor agreements, website privacy policy, terms of use, non-disclosures and a bunch more. Lately, I’ve been using it a lot since I’m hiring a few people. So far, I’ve found it to have pretty much everything I need and
very handy.
