Streaming Video Content Opportunity?
Major League Baseball has deals with MSN and AOL to stream live videos of MLB games and now Comcast says it’ll stream live videos of NHL games too. There must be demand and money there – well any fool knows sports is a hot market but in my eyes it’s not only about sports. It’s about the technology behind content delivery and how it brings opportunities to market an existing product in a different way. It’s about how to earn more from the same product.
Live streaming video content has been on my mind since I attended the Big Seminar in April. As you know, one of my products is a video conferencing service. It just ‘clicked’ for me that I included that into the free ecourse — how conferencing services can help you make more. If one is already holding a live event, why not stream it online too? Of course you can sell tickets to the online stream just like these big boys are doing with their premium content. If you don’t want live streaming video you could also do live streaming audio. All very possible and easy with a web conferencing system. Who says you have to use your web conferencing system for conferencing only? The best part, it’s affordable and you probably already have the equipment available – a good camera and microphone.
Same thing goes for teleclasses. That’s what my friend Kelly did with her Hot Seminar Series and it’s been a hit among her target audience.
