Stats Junky Review

Stats Junky appeared on my radar several months ago. Too busy to check it out then, I clipped it in my Read Later list and forgot about it until 2 weeks ago.

Stats Junky is not a site traffic statistics analysis tool. Instead it logs into all your different affiliate accounts to check your stats and earnings then reports them in a neat screen for you. It can even grab your Adsense earnings and track AdWords spending.

This tool is pretty simple in concept and it surely helps you quickly review what your clicks through rates, impressions if available and conversion looks like. It does all that calculation for you. For me, what really helps is seeing all the programs on one screen and able to see which programs are doing better over others.

I also like that I can quickly review how I’m doing this week, last week, this month and last month very quickly with a click of a button. It would be better though if there was some kind of trend graph so I can see the trend in a graphical manner by month, per affiliate program and overall.

Simple as the concept is, it has given me a lot of info that I’ve been too busy (or is it lazy? 😉 ) to compile. I know now which programs are getting the clicks, are easier to promote and which I really need to work on.

I’m feeling pretty neutral about this software. It is nice to have yes. Can I live without it? Yes. They say it will be a $30/month program when they launch. I’m not sure it is something I will pay a monthly fee for though. Will it make things easier? For me, yes.

I’m also rather confused about their product because they seem to have two sites and one of them say it is for sale. The other one says it’s coming soon and beta testers get it free. Hmm… makes me wonder if it has staying power. I also contacted them about aWeber stats not loading despite the fact the correct logins were entered. But no news back from them. It’s been about a week or so.

Bottom line: If you can still get Stats Junky beta for free, check it out. But if it were paid… I’m not ready for pay for it yet. Side note, they could benefit from a user forum of sorts.

Looks cool Lynette, I’m going to try it out for awhile. I’m a bit lazy about tracking my affiliate programs.

    Lynette,

I’ve actually created a Stats Junky Forum located at: http://www.statsjunkyreview.com/forum.

I did this to help people interested in learning more about the software as well as pass on notes to the developers about problems/suggestions, etc.
