One Big Puzzle

While helping my little one assemble a floor puzzle today, it suddenly dawned on me how much like a puzzle business can be. We spread all our little pieces on the table, sometimes we find several pieces next to each other and quickly assemble a small part of the picture.

Sometimes, we stared and stared at all the pieces. Yet we can’t see to find the one that fits into the part we’ve already started. While we were doing that, we found a couple of pieces that go together for another section of the puzzle. Her siblings later joined in to build their own little section of the puzzle. Soon, we managed to complete the picture by putting these little sections together.

Compare this to business. Sometimes, it’s OK to pause assembly on one part of your business because you either haven’t figured out the solution or you don’t have a puzzle piece it yet. You can move on to another small section. As long as you keep working on it, you’ll end up with many sections what fall in place to make the whole picture.

And oh yes, you don’t have to assemble each section on your own. You can either get help – as my kids did – our outsource it.
