Niche Market Research With Google

We’re truly at an advantage today because there are so many online tools and websites you can freely use to help gather all kinds of information about a particular market especially niches. So let’s start off with… who else but Google?

Google offers many awesome web tools but let’s start with one of my favorites – Google Alerts. Using Google Alerts, you can receive an email notification as soon as Google discovers websites containing keywords you enter. Many people use it to track what others say about themselves or their own websites. For example, I track many of my domain names so if someone publishes an article of mine (which carries my URL) I will receive an alert. You also find out who’s linking to you or referring you to other people on forums or blogs.

You can also enter a keyword of a niche and let Google fetch information for you. You can find out what people are saying about the competition, what issues or concerns consumers may have about a particular topic, what articles are being written about the niche. Give it a try. If you’d like to get some interactive help how to do this play the video.
