Evernote Tip: Getting Email Reminders

alarm One feature that consistently gets requests within Evernote forums is a calendar. While I can’t read the developers’ minds, I don’t believe Evernote will add this feature anytime soon or at all for that matter because Evernote was not meant to be a scheduler, it is meant to capture bit and pieces of info. Regardless what the company does, this is something that many want. Me included.

Some Evernote users can’t ever understand why. Here’s a perfect example. There are times I clip something online like a great marketing idea. I want to capture that information but don’t want to forget it either. Instead, I’d like to remind myself to review this idea in a month’s time when that product I am working on will be ready to launch.

Recently, I discovered and tweeted about this service – FollowUpThen. It is brilliantly simple. Send it an email and it will email you back at the interval you tell it to.

Since Evernote does allow you to send notes via email. That’s one way to remind yourself of the note. Similarly, you can email the note to RememberTheMilk which is a really nice calendar/scheduler/task manager.
