It’s amazing how many small business owners I meet online who don’t use some form of email spam filter. Many are still managing their inboxes by redirecting incoming mail into pre-determined folders. Hey there’s nothing wrong with that, I still do that but it is my 2 cents that you need some form of third person between the web and your desktop inbox. Let’s just think of this person as a big burly bouncer.

Why? Well, to filter out spam and viruses are probably the two biggest reasons. But lately with Phishing attacks getting more common, to me that is a biggie because if you’re not careful, you can jeopardize your PayPal, eBay or financial instituition accounts which can lead to – identity theft.
