eBay Automation – MarketBlast
Ah! More eBay automation tools. I was just talking to my husband last night. He’s wanting to trade on eBay but he’s a busy man, often requiring to work 7 day, 10 hour/day weeks (Yeah- I know). Anyway, the first thing that popped in my head is “Honey, you need some kinda eBay seller software or automation”
Now this is one area that’s packed full of options but which option is right for you is another thing. My friend Vera Raposo has tried numerous solutions but find there’s always a lack somewhere.
E-commerce guide.com has a review on one of the newest eBay seller automation tools, MarketBlast. It’s a well written review which even goes into the pros and cons of software vs hosted tools. MarketBlast is a software for which you pay $99. To me that’s a fair price considering some other software costs lots more.
What caught my eye most is the automation by script or events
Global Event automation kicks in when a set of conditions known as “Rules” have been met, such as receiving bids, when items are sold or unsold, new questions, and when receiving positive/neutral/negative feedback When an event criteria has been reached the software automatically performs a series of actions. Default settings are provided, as is the ability to program your own actions — such as when receiving specific questions or neutral or negative feedback, which cannot be generically reciprocated.
There are two types of events: Global and Custom. Global applies throughout MarketBlast and is activated when the conditions or rules have been fulfilled. Custom Events apply to individual listings and can only be set through a Global event template.
Sounds like quite a complete back office (without staff) 🙂
