Don’t You Dare Mention This On My Blog

Apps obsessionDo you have a problem keeping your blog comments clean? It is a real shame that some people prefer to hide behind their keyboards and say things they normally wouldn’t in person. But it happens.

WordPress does have a built in feature where comments containing certain stop words are automatically under moderation and you can either edit/approve it or delete it completely.

But sometimes you don’t want to delete it. Maybe you feel you you’re hindering free speech (though I think free speech comes with responsibility but that’s a whole other story). Maybe you feel the commenter had some valid points and just not very good in expressing themselves. Or maybe you or your blog thrives on hot and heated debates and discussions – minus the unsavory words of course.

As mentioned before,  you can edit each of these manually. But if you prefer not to, here are two plugins I came across that might help. I haven’t installed any of them but thought it might be something you might be looking for.
