8 Ways To Boost Your Marketing With Creative Images
We constantly see creative quotes being shared, re-shared and pin on social media. Are images taking over content marketing? Hardly. What it definitely do is, entice people to check out your content, your website, and whatever you offer.
The most common method is to create quotes by a respected thought leader. That’s OK but here are more ways you can use images to grab people’s attention and point them to what you have to offer.
Quotes From Your Audience
Whenever you engage with your audience, look out for the smart things they say. While it doesn’t have to be about you, or your products, it would be better if what they are talking about is inline with your brand.
Slideshows
Have a good article or blog post? Turn it into a slideshow but don’t just create plain old boring PowerPoint slides. Take advantage of photos. Find fantastic scenery or great shots that would support and emphasis your points. Take this presentation as an example.
Promotional Graphics For Your Offers
Do you have a free item people need to opt-in to get? Have product(s) and services? Holding an upcoming webinar?
Instead of clogging up your blog sidebar with other people’s ads, create graphic ‘ads’ for your own offers and put them up there. They really do stand out more than regular links.
Illustrate
Images don’t always have to be photos or quote graphics. You can always create illustrations. You don’t even need to be an artist. Sometimes it can be a doodle or a photo of a doodle on a napkin for more visual interest. This breaks up the monotony of popular graphic styles you see out there and it also humanizes your website.
Quote Yourself
Look through your own blog posts, or interviews you’ve done. Pick out some quotes to make images of. Put that in your social media stream along with quotes from others. It breaks up the monotony and further demonstrates that you know your stuff.
Create a Collage
Look through your old blog posts. There will be some topics that are related to each other or have a common theme. Create a graphical representation of each post and put them into a collage, with a caption. Write up a short blog post with links to these posts and Pin it, promote it on social media.
Pull Quotes From Your Products
This works very well if you books, courses – any information product. Find a juicy quote that would peak people’s interest and make that into a ‘pin-able’ image. Upload it to social media and make sure you link to your product’s sales page. Don’t stop at one either. Make a few. Create some for each product.
Yes! Email. Granted, many email readers still turn off images by default. However, if you accompany the image with proper alt tags and from time to time, encourage people to enable images to view – over time people will see your images.
What to put in your email messages? Well, you can get a bit personal – yourself working or doing the very thing you promote. Or, you can display the image that’s on your blog with a caption.
