Are You Always Uploading Stuff?
If you do any kind of online marketing work I’ll bet you do. There’s almost no avoiding it. An affiliate redirect file here, an MP3 or PDF there. When you power up that FTP program for the umpteenth time that day, you secretly wish you could transfer, search and review files on your web host like they’re on your desktop.
You know what? You can.
You can use WebDrive which handles regular FTP connections as well as the newer Secure FTP (SFTP). This method of transfer is more secure than the good old FTP you use. It can also do automatic backups, very handy if you backup your files to a remote location. The other one to try is SFTPDrive. I didn’t mind this as the price point is a little more palatable but the biggest bummer for me is it couldn’t connect to non SFTP hosts. To date only one of my hosts support SFTP so SFTPDrive will have to stay in the backburner for me.
For Mac users, you can review Interarchy. Haven’t used it myself but found it while researching on the Net.
