Another WordPress Update
I’ve seen the notice in my dashboard for days now and haven’t had time to do anything with it yet. I did get to some blogs but not the others. So… I decided enough is enough and purchased WordPress Manager DX. It is quite similar to WordPress Elite but I cannot give you a side by side comparison because I do not own WordPress Elite. How do I like it? I must sheepishly admit, I’ve been so busy with the HelpDesks I have not yet been able to have it set up. Yes, I can outsource. However I like to install new scripts at least once so I know what is going on – blame the control freak. Anyhow, I will post more information of my experiences when the dust settles. But in the 2 week’s I’ve owned it, I’ve already received I think like two update emails which is a good sign. I like actively developed ans supported software.

wordpress elite sucks. the new owner joe cooper does not answer any emails and the product does not work with the latest version of wordpress. do not purchase it unless you want to get ripped off.

Hey David, I’m truly sorry you have an unpleasant experience. I do hope they’ll resolve things quickly so you get your money’s worth. I’ve got my WPManagerDX up and running for a while now. Although I’m having problems, I’m not certain if it’s due to my hosting issues so I’ll leave further comments on the product for a later date.
However overall I do like how it works. Support is wonderful and it almost seems like there’s an update every two weeks. They’re already working on version 2 now. And it works with WordPress 2.0 + I’ve also discovered the difference between WordPress Elite and WPManagerDX is WPManagerDX actually installs the blog like you’d do manually but WordPress Elite doesn’t. – Just in case anyone wants to know 🙂
