Email List Setup Checklist
Every time I go to set up a new list, I’m bound to overlook something. This, despite having repeated the task many times over. Tired of having to “come back to this later”, I put together this checklist.
It is based on the features Aweber has. The older version. Not the latest version. The general idea is still there no matter which email management system you are using.
Grab the free download. No signup necessary. But if you do find it useful, I would sincerely appreciate it if you blog it, Twitter it, put it on your Facebook or social network pages or email your list about it. Thanks in advance.

Lynette,
thanks for this little, but helpful guide.
As I am just in the process of cleaning up my mailing list and think about changing the list software, it comes at the right time.

@Orchid – happy to assist in any way. Good idea cleaning up the mailing list. We all should do that regularly.

Lynette,
just a few points to do when cleaning the list:
check if any competitors subscribed
delete all the bogus addresses
delete all email addresses from .ru
segment into ‘name provided’ and ‘no name’
‘No name’ list gets a friendly email to update their profile
