Bumped into this neat app yesterday. ScrnShots is a free tool to take screen shots and upload to their site. Everything is free. The desktop app and the screen shot storage on their servers – I’m inclined to think this won’t last since the app is in beta. Expect a paid, premium version once they are out of beta.

The great news is, the desktop apps are available in both Windows and Mac. You can tag them, allow comments, email the link and embed the screen shot into your blogs, web sites or wherever you are allowed to paste code. Much like Youtube except it’s for screen shots.

It seems to me the this tool is targeted at web designers who want to share their work. But I’m sure it can be useful for anyone else who may want to share and discuss any screen shots publicly. Here’s a video showing how the tool works on a Mac and the uploading.
