Ya know things happen with these darn computers. It crashes, you forgot to save your password, you lost it or it just quit out of the blue.

Now you can’t access your WordPress blog. When something like this happens for me, it’s easy. Simply edit the database. Understandably, this can be very intimidating for some. Database? What if I break the whole blog or *gulp* delete everything?
Don’t fret, the WordPress Emergency Password Reset is a small, tiny script you upload to your site to reset your administrator password. If you’ve lost the FTP password as well… uhm… tough? No, seriously, just contact your web host.
Be warned – for security reasons, do not leave the script on your web host after you’re done. Delete it at once.
If you find you’re always losing passwords – or maybe losing your mind keeping track of them, I highly recommend RoboForm. It’s oh so very worth it and saves you so much time, you won’t believe it.
Hat tip to Kelly McCausey for pointing out this handy dandy tool.
