When my good friend Alice Seba posted a quick suggestion about holiday gifts for your assistants and business associates, that immediately sparked a few ideas. You see, one of the things that Alice suggested was a portable USB drive. And I must admit that is a great idea, I’ve been thinking of giving them since last December. But, since I love experimenting with stuff, I like to take things further. A USB stick is nice but why just
give a blank one? It’s kinda like giving someone a nicely printed CD or DVD with nothing on it. So here are some ideas how you can jazz up your USB stick giveaway and make it really memorable and you can do this even if you’re the last minute shopping type.

• Fill it with software. Yup, if you know there is a particular software someone can absolutely use, purchase it and stick it in there. Of course you gotta make sure you have enough room for it and the software you get is legit. Some of the best software for a business associate or anyone who does anything online is RoboForm2Go.
• Fill it with courses. Maybe you know your associate has been wanting this marketing course for a while. Maybe you want to help them improve their own business. • If you like the personal touch, why not fill it with an audio or video greeting? You could even create a simple web page with any information you want on it. Make it run automatically when they plug in the USB stick. Now that’s nice (pssst! It’s great for affiliates too)

Don’t forget you can also do this on any memory based item like a Secure Digital Card (only $4.99 for a 1GB at Tiger Direct by the way, what a steal) or a portable hard drive. So many things you can store and have some fun doing it 🙂
