What A Start
Hey all, you may have noticed I’ve been MIA for a few days last week. As posted on the 29th, I went for my citizenship test and interview. I had to travel hundreds of miles to get to the office so a few days was shot there. Good news is, I passed and also took the Oath of Allegiance that very same day! Woo Hoo! So now it is official a huge chapter of my life has closed… and opened. It should’ve been a wonderful start to the New Year. Unfortunately tragedy struck as we were travelling home, we got news my grandma in-law had passed on, on New Year’s morning 🙁 She was 93 and she was to me the epitome of a great American woman. Strong, determined yet devoted and loving to her family.
As you can imagine it has been a hectic first week to the new year hence my absense. But I’ve resolved to model myself after my remarkable grandma in-law and forge ahead, slowly picking up where I left off. Things are already starting to look very promising especially since I took up much needed guidance (with lot’s of pep talk) from Jimmy D. Brown over at ListandTraffic. There has also been a lot of time for me to reflect about what I’ve been doing right and wrong in 2005. The first thing I was reminded of by Jimmy D. Brown is momentum. I’ve been trying to push several different cars (projects) and only found them to either be not moving or moving just a little bit while the ones I’ve been pushing at longer has been most rewarding. I really do a lousy job of explaining it so I encourage you to pick up your own copy of his free report to see if it speaks to you as it did to me.
I’ll be back soon for more of my regular information.
P/S: Just upgraded to WordPress 2.0 and I think I like it. More updates about the good stuff tomorrow.
