Can You Reach Your Market With Podcasts
In a teleseminar call with Kelly McCausey, we briefly talked about advertising in podcasts. Indeed, that is one way you can do it. We also talked about the other methods; by being a guest or contributing to the podcast in some way.
Does any one of these methods triumph above the other? At this point, I don’t know – it’ll be good to test and find out, but logically, podcast listeners are much like RSS subscribers, they are trying to minimize their contact with ads and to gain control over the news and information they consume. Based on that, it may be fair to assume out right ads may be ignored and less effective than if you were to come on as a guest or do a special segment that gives listeners value in return.
I would approach it the same way you write up articles for public distribution.
