I love it when there’s talk about how technology transforms small businesses. Anita Campbell blogs about the most significant piece of technology to impact small businesses worldwide. I actually missed the “worldwide” part in the question. After thinking about it I would have to agree.

Generally, accross the globe, cell phones are more readily available and more affordable too. From the poorest nations to the richest ones. In fact, coming from Asia I can tell you cell phone use is so much wider and entrenched into the Asian life today. Cell phone technology is more ‘advanced’ in Asia too compared to the U.S. (can you tell I’m not a fan of U.S. telephony 🙂 )

Anyway, I’m digressing. As cell phones incorporate more and more of the Internet into them, this is certainly going to be a more important technology. In fact, I was just reading this article over at Clickz that wireless [cell phone] users want more local content.
