9 Profitable Webinars You Can Host Today
Bitten by the webinar bug? Good for you! The only problem is, you’re not so sure what your webinar should be about. And, ideally, you’d like to get paid to do it. No fear, you’re bound to find a one idea (if not more) in this list of suggestions.
- Answer burning questions from customers and readers. This is so easy to do and set up. All you need is a way to collect your questions. You can use a free tool like EasyInternetSurvey and put it up on your blog or site, make sure you capture their information as they submit the question then invite everyone to attend. You can work in recommendations to yours or affiliate products.
- Invite a guest expert to answer burning questions. Same concept as above, the difference is, the focus is on the guest. This is sometimes a lot easier for people who are still getting their feet wet and perhaps not as confident being the ‘focus’. This is a great way to promote affiliate products. To get people to take action quickly, you can even offer a special only when they sign up during the webinar.
- Conduct study groups. A good way to sell an affiliate product with a high enough value. People only get to join the study group IF they purchase through your link.
- Hold problem solving sessions. People love to get involved, even fans and customers. It is a good way to build or begin building your community. Throw out a problem and let everyone have their 2 cents how to solve that problem. This tactic may or may not bring direct profits. Depending on the topic, you could end up with a product on hand, at the very least, you will be able to take advantage of the ideas for long term customer satisfaction which is always a good thing.
- Teach a class. It can be basic how-to’s or full blown 4-week courses.
- Host an expo. Similar to #2, but instead of just one expert, invite more and make an event out of it. You can stretch it over a couple of weeks or you can put it all in a few action packed days. Either promote the experts’ products as an affiliate or sell tickets to the expo.
- Host a roundtable discussion. Choose a panel of experts, begin the conversation by asking a few pointed questions and let the conversation flow. Put these into your member’s only archive and use it to promote your membership site or host a couple of these and start a fixed term membership site with the recordings. You can also add recordings done in #2.
- Customer spotlight. Your customers are smart people. Have they used your product in a creative or interesting fashion? Or maybe they achieved extraordinary results. Ask them to show your guests how they used your product to achieve those results. Anytime you get to show people how to consume your product is a good thing. Less refunds, more reason to buy.
- Teach your affiliates a new strategy. We all learn something new. If that worked really well for you, pass that information on to your affiliates. It also gives you the chance to talk live and get to know your affiliates better. And of course, when your affiliates do well, so do you.
I hope this list gave you some inspiration. Now get the ball rolling. Start planning and reserve your web conference room.
