Shooting Video For Your Info Product? Quick Tech Tip
I am currently working on a new course for TechBasedTraining when I’m reminded of something I thought I’d pass on.
When you record video or screen casts, it is quite natural for us to begin the video with a welcome or greeting and mentioning the product name or date or something. What I’ve learned – don’t do it. It took me a while to hold my tongue.
I’m not saying don’t greet people if you need an intro to the product do so and do a separate recording. In the actual info videos itself do not say anything tied to the product or date. This way, if you decide to offer resale rights or private label rights later on, you do not have to re-record.
Sure you can cut out the first chunks and replace with something newer but I often find that does not give a smooth effect. Your voice could be different, if you appear on the video your appearance may have changed and it is very difficult to recreate the scene of the first recording.
