How To Fix Strange Characters On Your Web Page
You publish your web page or post to your blog and eek! What happened to the page? There are strange characters everywhere especially on Firefox but when you check your post or the code there’s nothing strange there. What’s going on?
Very often this is caused by the character type. If you typed in the whole post or the page chances are you won’t have this issue but if you copied and paste from somewhere even if it’s a text file this issue tends to crop up. Here’s what you do.
Go through the post or the page, where the strange character is, usually you will find a double quote, single quote or even a dash. Delete it and type it in. Sometimes it is other characters like ampersands or symbols so quotes this isn’t limited to quote or dashes only. Whatever it is, delete and make sure you type it. Save and publish again. 99% of the time, your problem will be solved.
