My Toilet Tweets Too

Oh my I just can’t stop laughing over this one. First of all, it’s not my toilet but this guy’s. He wired his toilet to tweet every time it flushes. He’s got over 500 followers last I checked too now that’s funny. You can see his ahem- the toilet’s tweets here.

Now while this is a fun/entertaining, good for a few laughs project. It actually makes me think. What else can be hooked to to Twitter that can be beneficial as well as not too spammy?

I know you can post Tweets each time you send an email to your mailing list on Aweber though it’s not something I personally use a lot. I like to keep my emails exclusive as a thank you for subscribers. Maybe I’m taking the wrong approach.

I also found a really cool plugin lately that allows your commenters to tweet their comments which is beneficial for them and for you since it includes a link back to your blog. Sadly, I have not managed to successfully install it on this site – it seems to conflict with WPRemix and I haven’t had a chance to dive deeper into the causes.

I’m not sure which is worse: the toilet that tweets or the fact that the toilet is following an office chair and another toilet.

I haven’t seen the plugin that allows you to tweet a comment, but I do like the one that automagically tweets your blog posts. As long as you remember to tweet something else as well!

I didn’t even notice that Cindy LOL that is funny. I did use something that auto-tweeted my posts that turned out OK actually.

Ok that’s pretty funny. I check out the tweets though and I’m wondering how the toilet thinks of all these different things to say. I was expecting it to be the same tweet every time but I guess the guy programed a bunch of different sayings into it.

You know that is an interesting question on what else could be automatically tweeted. I think there could be a lot of practical uses for it in both big and small business.

Hey Angela, you just made me think of something. You know how some restaurants have a “ring the bell if you liked our service” or something? Maybe it could be a button like Push the button to tweet you like the service or something like that. You could make the customer type a name I suppose but that would mean work for them. Less work, the better.

Hmm… on second thought, no reason why we can’t make it work for online business as well. How about a Click this link to tweet how much you like our product in the Autoresponder?

I experimented with a Tweet this link in the email newsletter once and people did use it.
