Reaching Educators or Parents
In the few years my kids have been in school, I noticed more and more teachers start sending web site recommendations home. These sites and links usually support the current concept or topic the class is studying. Some teachers tell me certain sites are recommended by parents which means the teachers are definitely open to suggestions that help them.
I sat with my child going through some of these sites. Most of these sites or pages evolve around games that help the child practice spelling, writing and math. From a technical point of view, these are not rocket science stuff. Many can be achieved with simple scripts that you can get for free. Even if you have someone build it for you, they probably won’t cost you thousands upon thousands of dollars. I normally go to Odesk for my projects and have found some good mid to long term people there.
So… why not? If you want to reach educators or even parents, build educational, kid friendly games or a game then suggest it to your child’s teacher. Even if they don’t take up your suggestion, games are always a good promotional tool that bring visitors back regularly.
