One Form, Two Subscriptions
Recently, someone asked if there’s a way to subscribe someone to two lists when they signup for her free newsletter. The two lists are on separate systems, one of which she doesn’t control.
The answer? Likely a yes, with a little bit of custom scripting. It would be an easy job for any decent programmer and I recommend you source your talent from Scriptlance and RentaCoder.
But let’s turn our attention a little bit to the non-technical part. With all the email challenges today, I would be very careful doing this. If you do this, you should always let people know what they are signing up for. If I were told I’m signing up for a freebie and suddenly I find myself receiving mail from two different places, I’m going to be rather upset.
So while technically it is possible, good business practice say we should be on the up and up about it with our prospects.
