Achieving Goals: Could It Be THIS Simple?

Can I be open with you?

The last couple of years has been the most challenging and yet the best. In fact, the last 2 years, I’ve experienced my best year ever – two years in a row!

Quick Re-Cap

In 2015, I won $25,000 in Armand Morin’s Better Your Best contest. I did this even as my husband’s health failed and some days it seemed like we were living in the hospital.

This year, I spoke on stage – something I have never done before. I was the second best seller, outselling even seasoned big name guys. I hit a long sought after 30-day revenue goal. And… I lost the 20lbs I’d be struggling with for a few years.

Chances are, you’re asking…

How did she do it?

I want so much to tell you there’s a magical course you can take to make all your dreams come true. If there is such a course, I’d be the first to sell it to you.

Looking back, there’s no one single thing. These results come from a variety of techniques, practices, habits and mindset. If I dug deeper, all these have roots in two things.

1) The Slight Edge

2) Pen and paper

The Slight Edge is all about doing smalls things every-single-day. I highly encourage you to read the book if you haven’t. And pen and paper are just that. Good old-fashioned writing things down.

This means journaling, goals, tasks, even calendars. I go more into the details here.

As a web developer, I am a geek. I LOVE technology. There are many gadgets and modern tools I can’t do without. Heck, I even met my husband online! Yes. I like to think tech is my best friend. I spent years going from app to app. One tech to another.

However, when it comes to achieving goals, no tech has yet surpassed these. I spent years going from app to app. One tech to another. None of them have given me the level of achievement or flexibility. If you’re still having trouble reaching goals, maybe technology is holding you back.
