I don't have the time for things like Twitter and a lot of the social networking. While I understand that they do hold some value - maybe :) - I can't work on their schedule as opposed to mine. And I think that's my biggest issue with social networking. . .you have be constantly involved to follow other people's Twitters, see what's hot in Digg, Reddit and Technorati. If you 'slack off' for a few hours - or heaven forbid a whole day - you may 'miss' something. It's just easier to stick to my own schedule with forums.
