Text (SMS) Autoresponder. Wanna Try?

texting In last week’s email, I wrote about PhoneFollowUp. Did you see that? If you haven’t, it is a new service that allows you to follow up with prospects and customers just like an autoresponder, but instead of email, it will either place an automated phone call or a text message. You can use it together with your email list. In other words, instead of just contacting people by email, you can add an additional method that perhaps allows you to cut through the email noise.

Always intrigued with new technology, I signed up for a trial and though I’d invite you to help me test it out. Will you?

In this test, you will receive 10 Days of Blogging Ideas via text (SMS) message. Complete the form below and your first idea should be sent out immediately. Oh yeah… please keep in mind that text message charges may apply depending on your plan and I have no idea if an international number will work or not. We shall see 🙂

By entering a valid cell phone number, you are giving us permission to contact you via an automated phone call and/or a sms (text) message. Standard text messaging rates apply.

Thanks Monica, I think it may not like my carrier (Verizon). Have not
received one message at all so I am wondering how this is working out
for everyone else. I have had problems with Facebook too, and
beginning to wonder if it is Verizon or the service.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I did get the ideas sent to my phone too but… I have discontinued the service. It was OK, it did the job nicely. Only thing is, a few things I wish it had, like the ability to also send voice messages to those who signed up for text and vice versa. Plus, I'm a little uninspired how to fit it into my marketing plan. So I'll let it mature a bit and perhaps by then my business will also be ready for it.
