In any new release there's always bound to be something that's not running as smoothly as we'd like it to. But you have to make a choice between leaving yourself open to vulnerabilities (which has already surfaced in some 2.3.x blogs) or upgrade and put up with the hassle. I personally feel it costs me much more in time and resources which equate to $ when I have to clean up after a hacking.

Hi Simon, that’s the thing. I want to know that all the kinks are out of 2.5, but at the same time there might be holes left in the old!

It’s tough to know when the best time is to upgrade. Thanks for letting me know about Delavera's product.@Myrna: I do use Semiologic but not on all blogs. Only those I don't feel like messing around too much. I love building and editing themes, getting my hands dirty ;) Besides, these days I use WP more for content management and we do some heavy hacking/modifications and it's much more flexible to work with a standard theme or one we build from the ground up.

@Jack: Cool!
