Stats Junky Review

Stats Junky appeared on my radar several months ago. Too busy to check it out then, I clipped it in my Read Later list and forgot about it until 2 weeks ago.

Stats Junky is not a site traffic statistics analysis tool. Instead it logs into all your different affiliate accounts to check your stats and earnings then reports them in a neat screen for you. It can even grab your Adsense earnings and track AdWords spending.

This tool is pretty simple in concept and it surely helps you quickly review what your clicks through rates, impressions if available and conversion looks like. It does all that calculation for you. For me, what really helps is seeing all the programs on one screen and able to see which programs are doing better over others.

Why Upgrade At All?

We’ve been talking a lot about upgrades lately and figured this is a good time to tackle this subject. I know quite a few of us are terrified of upgrading any of our software. Most of us have good reasons - usually brought about by a nasty experience in the past.

 

Yet, upgrades are to be expected in any business. Particularly today, even the smallest of businesses use some kind of web ware that you need to keep current. Generally, upgrades are good from a security stand point. The older the software (especially web ware) the more prone you are to all kinds of exploitations.

Upgrades also bring you new features and fixes. The longer you wait, the harder it is to upgrade.

Photo Dropper - thanks to ProBlogger, I immediately jumped on this plugin. I’ve been using more photos on my blog for several months and been using these sites to get pictures. But the problem is, searching for photos, cropping and resizing can take a lot of time. It slows down my blog posts and makes the most spontaneous posts a chore. This plugin helps you search for photos from Flickr and insert it into your posts with just one click. Sweet. I am using it on this post itself.
