Small Task Grows Into Monster Project

Crikey! How in the world did a simple task turn out into a monster project?

During the weekend, I figured I would take a few short minutes to fire up my handy WP Auto Upgrade to upgrade all my sites. I also thought, while I was add it, to do one or two tasks to secure each installation. One of the first steps was to create an inventory of all the sites, each site’s WP version, what is running on every one of them, date of last update/upgrade and who they are hosted with.

Well that sure turned into a mega project. I now am reminded I need to decide once and for all what to do with some of these sites. A few were inherited from my brother and since defunct. Some needed to be moved and traffic re-directed. Some need to be re-freshed.

Reese Report: Have You Heard?

Wow! What a shocking email. I woke up to an email from John Reese, thanking us Reese Report subscribers for our loyalty and dropping the bomb. No more Reese Report! April will be our last issue.

But knowing John, we’ve been promised some awesome Income.com goodies. I have no doubt. This is very exciting and to me, it also says one very important thing. Focus.

There goes that word again. I’ll say it again focus. Obviously John is focusing all his energy on Income.com and he said so. Focus also means concentrating on the cash cows and of the dogs. Not saying Reese Report is a dog. I think it’s far from it. But with the focus, he’ll probably make Income.com much better than he could juggling two (and more) products that are so similar in nature.

My friend Kelly McCausey did a lot of that lately - letting go of the dogs. Pet projects
