Podcasts Gaining Marketing Attention
November 15th, 2005This is certainly not the first podcast to gain sponsorship from a big brand name but it goes to show again, forward thinking marketers of bigger companies are paying more attention to podcasts and in general consumer generated media like blogs. MommyCast, a podcast for moms announced yesterday, a 12 month sponsorship deal with Dixie (disposable tableware).
I do wonder however, if advertising in podcasts work better than appearing as guests or vice versa. I would think appearing as a guest would work out better especially for us small businesses. Ads - well people are trained to ‘tune off’ ads but I have no stats for comparison. If you’ve tried both let me know how your results have been.
