Podcast Marketing Explosive Results

November 23rd, 2005

The more I think one of the best way for a business to make use of podcasts and podcasting is to appear as a guest. Why?

  • It’s no cost entry
  • Doesn’t take that much time
  • Is non commital as opposed to creating your own podcast which can get quite taxing
  • Quality results

The fourth is probably the biggest reason and people are already seeing results. For example, in an interview on the Productivity Show, Buzz Bruggeman of Activewords.com mentioned how an earlier appearance on the podcast resulted in 300 requests while an article in a local newspaper with a Sunday circulation of 250,000 got them only 5 requests. Talk about quality. If you want to hear it for yourself, go to The Personal Productivity Show on Podcast Network and listen to the podcast. Buzz mentions this somewhere around the 50 minute mark.

Lynette, I think this is a fantastic idea and something I want to explore. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I’m a podcast listener and would find this a great way to get more exposure.

Hey Tom, you know I haven’t forgotten your question about blogging and legal stuff and I think this is one way of going around the whole issue. I’m glad you found this post. I really think this is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs in your industry.

If you need help getting started, check out Kelly McCausey’s Mom’s Money. I don’t know if she takes guests but won’t hurt to ask and she may be able to point you to another show who might be looking for one.

Thanks for the tip. I’m in the process of building my own. I have to post a large disclaimer “front and center” in order to “comply.” I found something called “adhesive” which should help do the trick! I will keep yu posted. Thanks sooooo much for all the great guidance!
