How To Redirect A Domain (Not WebPage)

Q: Could you show a video tutioral on doing a 301 redirect for an entire site. - Elizabeth Ashe
A: Hey Elizabeth. If you’re not going to use a domain anymore, the easiest and least technical way is simply to redirect the domain at your domain registrar. As requested, here’s a quick 4 minute video to show you how to do that on GoDaddy.

How To Use Technology To Improve Your Marketing And Productivity

Hello,
I just watched your very informative video on Redirecting a Domain and I have a question:
I registered a domain name with Godaddy.com and then added wordpress. It changed my url to http://www.mydomainname/wordpress. As a result nothing is showing up at my original url address. Do you know if redirecting a domian will solve this problem? In short I want to still use wordpress, but have it available on my original domain names address.
Any help would be wonderful as I am very new at this.
Thank you.

Hey Lisa,
It depends which WordPress you are using? Are you using the hosted version at WordPress.com or did you download from WordPress.org and install it on your own webhost?
What is your original address?
