A hall! What better use of a under utilized hall way than to put white board on it’s walls? Thanks to John Reese, seeing his war room, hubby and I decided we needed something similar so we can hash out our strategies, discuss plans and hey, even use it as a family message board. I’ve enjoyed using our brand new walls to share ideas it works great.

By the way, it was a DIY project and you wouldn’t believe how little it was. In total, we shelled out under $150. This post has all the details. Meanwhile, here are some photos.

Lynette this is cool! I loved the idea of John Reese’s War Room and I think the hallway is the perfect way to incorporate it into the average home :)

Here’s to many wonderful strategies being birthed on this wall!

Hey there Kelly,

Thanks! We are so digging this. You should see some of the pictures our kids draw too. So cute. :D This hallway has turned into a place of smiles and ideas.

Wow Lynette what a great idea! And I bet your kids think you are too cool parents for letting them write on the walls, lol…

LOL no kidding. My youngest – she’s still a little confused but it’ll be OK. They started drawing angels and writing ABC’s. The other day my two eldest were playing school it’s a lot of fun listening to them play – the things they say it’s so funny.
