5 Overlooked Business Backups
October 24th, 2006By now should be religiously backing up your computer (I certainly hope so) but have you ever thought about the other stuff? I was just looking at my business the other day and realized a lot of information is not on my computer. They are either saved at Aweber, my mailing list provider or on my web host. I’m talking about:
- Mailing lists
- Autoresponder messages
- Sales Data
- Affiliate list
- Customer list
For some of you, even the sales data and affiliate list is hosted by someone else. Have you backed those up yet? Well you should. This data is so so critical. Imagine what you’d do if you lost them? Get someone to do it or ask your shopping cart or mailing list host how to get a regular copy of your data.

How To Use Technology To Improve Your Marketing And Productivity

Lynette,
Came across your blog post in a search I was doing.
You can easily backup all AWeber account data in one file with one simple operation with a new backup feature we added in July. Just in case you hadn’t seen it.

Another important thing to remember when backing up your computer data is to save multiple copies and put them in a different secure location from where your computer resides. If the unthinkable happens and your business or home catches fire, those CD backups you have sitting next to your computer are going to be of no use.
All customer data is both securely backed up onsite, as well as offsite in case of disasters such as this.
Sincerely,
Tom Kulzer

Thank you for reminding us Tom. Yes, your list backup feature has been very helpful I’ve used it myself for a few times now
